Zemariam Kidane, an engineer at Mesfin Industrial Engineering (MIE), was one of the victims of Abiy Ahmed's airstrike in Mekelle on October 18, 2021. He was admitted to the intensive care unit at Ayder Referral Hospital immediately after the strike. Despite receiving treatment for his injuries, he passed away at the hospital in Mekelle two days later, as reported by state media, Tigray Television. Mr. Zemariam was married and a father of two children.
